Praise be a human who uses an analog planner—I have used the same monthly planner since college—and the columns of the steno pad.

I would love to Rewild! I crammed Tin House and NorCal Writers into Q1 (hence my fangirling for Weds) and am c r a w l i n g through revisions Q2…will I still have a brain in Q3??

Paper forever!! Congrats on Tin House and NCWR, and good luck with revisions! (I know the crawl, I have been there.) No need for a brain in Q3!! Rewilding will be less about the brain, more concerned with the spirit...

Sad to hear about jury but glad for the update! (N Berk has not announced yet😂) Also excited re: The Dream Side. Also also, what notebooks do you use? Love the short stories list you share on many levels.

I would much rather be in Berkeley on Wednesday!! Notebooks: I use Leuchtturm1917 as my planner and for lists (I used to always use hardcovers until I accidentally ordered a softcover; now I prefer it!). And cheap National brand steno pads for writing because it helps me be less precious about it. If you're in the bay, fingers crossed you can join us for Rewilding Craft! (I can't wait!)

Rachel, thanks for this : ) it’s a story that makes me aware of the body in a way writing so rarely does

do you think the conflict between Ming and Sri is mirroring what Lam is saying about the body, or is the body mostly the context for their conflict?
